As Warin Lab Contemporary transitions into a new chapter in July, we pause to reflect on a five-year journey that began in 2021. Over this period, situated within a century-old former residence of Dr. Boonsong Lekagul (1907 – 1992), the legendary Thai wildlife conservationist, our gallery has been shaped by a sustained inquiry into environmental issues through diverse artistic perspectives and approaches.
Reminiscence: 5 years of Warin Lab brings together traces of 28 exhibitions that have unfolded within and around this space. Each work reflects an evolving dialogue among artists and audiences. From delving into history to engaging with environmental concerns, material experimentation, and speculative worlds, these inquiries have taken shape through a spectrum of artists, from established to emerging.
Rather than a retrospective in the traditional sense, this presentation functions as an open archive. It invites viewers to consider how these works coexist, overlap, and continue to resonate beyond their original moments of display. The exhibition makes visible a working ecology, one that will continue to evolve as we enter new contexts. Our core theme, “Environment and Ecology,” persists as a guiding thread, extending into future contexts, new geographies, and yet-to-be-formed encounters.

นิทรรศการ Reminiscence: 5 years of Warin Lab รวบรวมร่องรอยจาก 28 นิทรรศการที่เคยเกิดขึ้นภายในอาคารหลังนี้ แต่ละผลงานล้วนสะท้อนบทสนทนาที่พัฒนาระหว่างศิลปินและผู้ชม ตั้งแต่การดำดิ่งในเรื่องราวประวัติศาสตร์ ไปจนถึงการตั้งคำถามด้านสิ่งแวดล้อม การทดลองกับวัสดุ และโลกสมมติ ผลงานเหล่านี้ได้ก่อรูปขึ้นผ่านศิลปินมากมาย ทั้งรุ่นใหญ่และรุ่นใหม่
